How to Use Your CGMs
What is a CGM?
A Cognitive Guided Meditation (CGM) is a structured guided meditation designed to reinforce the CGM delivered by your therapist during your session. Each evening listening deepens and consolidates the session's work while your mind is in a calm, receptive state before sleep. You remain fully aware throughout. Falling asleep while listening is completely fine — the work continues.
🎧 Setting
- Lie in bed or recline in a chair
- Use headphones for best results
- Eyes closed, minimal interruptions
- Evening — before sleep
🔄 Frequency
- Listen every evening, same CGM all week
- Move to the next only when your practitioner advises
- Falling asleep is fine — the work continues
- If interrupted, restart from the beginning
⚠️ Safety
Never listen while driving or operating machinery. These meditations induce deep relaxation and should only be used at rest.
